Arizona has mail delivered via mule in two towns!
Arizona is one of the most diverse states in the country thanks to its rolling mountains, dusty deserts, and blowing dust storms. You can go here for a fun river fishing trip or for some amazing hiking. However the coolest thing we’ve found out about Arizona is that there are Indian reservations located in the Grand Canyon that can only receive mail by way of mule! This crazy mail route is done by Charlie Chamberlain and it consists of a mule train taking a three hour descent into the Indian reservation before ascending back up another three hours. Helicopters and other aerial vehicles cannot make the trip due to the canyon walls. Pretty crazy, right?
